ART EXHIBITION AT MOUNT KELLY
West country artist, Laure Bury, who is based in Mary Tavy and known for her vibrant Landscapes, Seascapes and colour compositions with Butterflies is holding an exhibition of her latest work at Mount Kelly Art Department from Friday 13 to Sunday 22 March 2015.
Her new collection of paintings is inspired by the colours of Dartmoor, the Cornish and Devon coastline as well as her garden in Mary Tavy.
Laure has been exhibiting in London since 2009 and has many clients and collectors across the country and abroad. She is a regular exhibitor with Art For Youth at the Royal College of Art in London, which raises thousands of pounds every year for disadvantaged youth in the UK.
In this coming exhibition, Laure will be joined by Jacqui Harris, who has also exhibited with Art for Youth in London. Jacqui has a background in textiles, printmaking and painting.
Laure and Jacquie, both studied Art Therapy at the Briars in Exeter and understand the healing qualities of Art. The art therapy course highlighted the importance of play and their more recent work is playful in it’s construction as well as bringing ideas together from their varied areas of expertise.
