Laure Bury is a Devon-based artist known for her landscapes, seascapes and colour compositions with butterflies and wild flowers. Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally and features regularly at the prestigious Canvas gallery in Winchester, at Tinca gallery in Bristol and at the Annual Art For Youth exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
As well as her current practice, Laure is also involved in a variety of creative and cultural projects that continue to inspire her work. These include working at museums and schools exhibiting her work, working in theatre, facilitating workshops and bringing Art to new audiences through accessible and innovative approaches. A percentage of her fees goes towards her work with under privileged children in UK and abroad.
Laure has travelled the world for inspiration but sometimes simply finds it in her own cottage garden on the edge of Dartmoor. She says that to create a picture is a process "like a dance, with loose and broad movements, splashing, scratching and watching the painting evolve almost by itself; evoking the beauty of nature. The message is peaceful and invites the viewers to rejoice in life".
