This painting of a Female blackbird on the Moors near Brentor Church was created in oils with fine brushes.
The sky is atmospheric above the magical St Michael de Rupe Church which I can see from my garden and from the many walks I take on Dartmoor with my faithful friend Buddy. The gorse and heather were especially spectacular this summer.
There are many birds in this area, and the blackbird with its uniquely melodic song, is one of my favourites.
