51 x 41 x 2 cm oil painting on wood with gold leaf
There is a beautiful walk across Dartmoor which leads pilgrims from church to church called the Archangels’ Way. This painting is inspired by the view across Dartmoor to St Michael De Rupe, otherwise know as Brentor Church and part of the Archangels’ Way.
Painted with acrylics, oils and gold leaf which adds a beautiful dimension to the foreground.
The artist has skilfully captured the ruggedness of Dartmoor terrain, as well as the big Devon skies and the sense of space and freedom often experienced whilst walking on Dartmoor.
The texture and gold leaf give a quality to the painting which is better appreciated in the flesh then in photo
Signed and titled on the back and ready to hang.
