Art For Youth 15-16 October 2014

It’s time for Art for Youth again, one of my favourite exhibitions! This is my fifth year with Art for Youth and I am so excited. Art For Youth is a wonderful event, organised by Ann Mavroleon and directed by her daughter Caitlin Mavroleon. It is a wonderful show and takes place at the Royal college of Art at Kensington Gore in London. Around 140 artists take part. It is huge! and there is so much talent there, it’s unbelievable.  I love having the chance to just mill around, absorbing the atmosphere and being inspired by such a huge breadth of artists.

Paintings are for sale and 35% of each sale goes towards projects for disadvantaged you in UK. UK Youth is a charity under the Patron The Princess Royal, and has been helping young people for over 100 years. Its current programmes centre on employability, digital literacy, money skills, youth volunteering, social action, and specialist educational provision for excluded young people.

We also have the the Secret Artist, where small paintings only cost £30 and may have been painted by a well know artist or by a child! All proceeds go to UK Youth.

I hope you will be able to join us there for a glass of wine this Wednesday and Thursday from 6 till 9 pm
